Vegan Basil Pesto

Basil pasta condiment excellent alternative to the traditional Ligurian “Pesto alla Genovese” ideal for people with vegan eating habits… ingredients originating from animal origin, no cheese in the recipe. It matches magnificently with many types of pasta: “ trofie”, “ trenette”, linguine, spaghetti, penne, fusilli and potato gnocchi.

Serving suggestions:

As a pasta sauce; a spoonful in tomato sauces, soups and stews; to dress up rice, risotto; in grilled tortillas; as a spread on bruschette; in sandwiches, for dressing canapés and flat bread; added to grilled vegetables; topping for sliced tomatoes; as a condiment for tomato, rucola and tofu salad.
